Bi work

This summer, I'm taking part in an exhibition at Mother London with the rest of my year, for our end of year show. The theme is BI, and looking at the idea of duality and double(-ness?). The idea is to have everyone submit work made using only two colours, pink and green, in order to link all the work together. It starts on the 7th June in the Reception, by appointment only. The site.

I'm looking at medals. The idea that all countries award medals, and often for a brave act. In wars these medals are awarded, does the fact that someone was fighting on the 'wrong side' take away the importance or significance of the medal, if it was awarded for a brave act, does it mean any less?

Publish: Our Own Creations

Thinking about publications; these are things that we fill with our own input. They publish a book that you can create yourself.

Publish: Tube Map

I've always been fascinated by the TubeMap. I've grown up looking at it, and i'm always noticing new things about it. When I was little I liked the bright colours. It's so deceptively simple. The illustrations used on the covers have always been interesting too.

Publish: Maps

I found these maps a while ago, they're one of the things I collect. I love the way that maps have their own codes and formats. I also like the idea of unwrapping or unfolding them. It seems somehow amazing that you can hold the surface of the earth in your hands and then just fold it up when you don't need it.
